The process of judging and accepting articles
The process of judging and accepting articles in UST journal consists of two stages: first, the initial review by the editorial board of the journal, and then - if approved by the editorial board - expert judging by scientific judges.
After the draft version of the article is submitted by the author(s) within the first stage, the desired version is studied based on the principles of publishing and compiling articles (up to one week). (In order to speed up the revision process, the authors are requested to carefully study the section of the authors' guide and carefully adapt it to the editing guidelines before submitting the draft version of the article.) If the draft version of the article is approved and accepted by the experts of the journal in the first stage, it will be revised by the internal manager and editor of the journal. After approval, the article is sent for refereeing.
The judging of the articles in UST journal is double-blind. [Authors can propose two expert referees during the registration of the article, but the journal is free to choose the referees proposed by the author, and in any case, the name of the referees chosen by the journal will not be known to the author].
In the judging process, the article is first judged by two expert referees in the relevant field, and if both referees approve, the article will be accepted. Equal votes of two referees are required to determine the assignment of the article. If two reviewers disagree about the acceptance of the article (it means that one reviewer approves the article and the other reviewer rejects the article), the article is sent to a third reviewer. Before submitting to a third reviewer, the author is asked to apply the revised comments of the previous two reviewers to the article, and then the revised version is sent to the third reviewer. The opinion of the third referee determines the acceptance or rejection of the article. The article can be published if it is approved by two referees and then the final approval by the editorial board.
The approximate time for the initial review and evaluation of the article in the editorial board is at least fifteen working days, and in case of initial acceptance and sending the article to the referee, the minimum referee time for the articles sent to UST Journal is two months; Therefore, the approximate duration of the submission process until the end of the arbitration will be at least two and a half months.
Note: In cases where the author does not accept the referee's opinion on all or part of the proposed amendments or has a convincing answer to the objections to the article, he can post his opinions and reasons in a text entitled "Response to the referees" on his personal page on the “adding files to the journal office” journal website section. The said answer will be reviewed by the editorial board and referees of the article and the result will be notified to the author.
After reviewing the judges and confirming the acceptance, the article is referred to the literary and English editor for editing, and the author is obliged to make corrections. After the corrections are made by the author, the article is sent to the editor and finally the article is published.
