Introduction: Currently, one of the main problems of cities is the emptying of the spirit of life in them and in their urban spaces. For this reason, providing vitality and urban vitality has become one of the main concerns of urban management systems. Today, in developed countries, attention to the presence of people in urban spaces plays a key role in the design and planning of cities, and the important key to achieving sustainable, successful and lively cities is to pay attention to the role of people and their needs. In modern urban development, what should be placed at the top of all planning and design matters is to provide humane and dignified environment for the presence of citizens. Managers and urban planners all over the world are trying to face urban problems and problems with an integrated look at all dimensions in cities, provide different approaches for the development of today's cities in order to respond to the new demands and expectations of the present age. One of the new approaches and concepts in today's urban planning is the smart city and the use of new information and communication technologies (ICT). A city that is 24 hours a day and the affairs of the city are going on in it all day and night. A smart city is a citizen-centered city in which information and communication technology (ICT) is used for better efficiency of existing resources and facilities, improving the quality of life of citizens and moving towards sustainable urban development.
The Purpose of the Research: The aim of this article is to investigate the relationship between smartening urban spaces and improving the quality of life and the Vitality in the area of Shahid Khalij Fars seaside and the surrounding residential fabric. Ultimately, by considering the indicators of smartening and the components of quality of life, it aims to provide some suggestions regarding a smart and pleasant urban environment.
Methodology: First, using descriptive and analytical methods, along with reviewing library documents, the related concepts and indicators for each concept were identified. This process ultimately led to the creation a conceptual model to explain the relationship between vitality and smart urbanization. Finally, interviews were conducted, and the opinions of citizens who use the area were reviewed. Based on their feedback, the conceptual model was implemented through practical solutions and recommendations.
Findings and Discussion: A significant percentage of interviewees believe that adopting new and innovative approaches can enhance the quality of urban spaces. It appears that the smart urbanization approach is one of the effective methods in reducing citizens' problems and improving the vitality and usability of urban spaces.
Conclusion: Based on the results of field observations, interviews, and analysis of documents beyond the scope of the Persian Gulf martyrs' sea, it can be said that the use of smart urbanization approach in urban spaces has improved the provision of services and facilities to citizens and enhances their effective use of space, resulting in increased liveliness and better presence of individuals in the space. This approach shows that the main audience of these spaces are all people (smart people). In fact, the focus of this generation (the third generation of smart urbanization) on the principles and programs of smart cities is on social justice and emphasizes creating opportunities that make local communities more active, influential, livelier, and dynamic. Efforts are made to create active and lively interactions and communication between citizens and urban management using information and communication technology, and citizens and collective intelligence are central to the strategies for smartening up spaces to create a more dynamic and desirable urban space. In general, if we imagine the city as a living creature, this creature needs vitality to continue its life. On the other hand, a smart city space is a 24-hour space where various activities take place at all hours of the day and night, providing services quickly and efficiently in the space along with reducing costs, transportation problems, and environmental issues. Therefore, it can be concluded that a smart city space can help with prosperity and dynamism of the space and increase the presence of citizens, leading to improvement. The relationship between information technology and improving the quality of life is a direct relationship.
